Netflix co-founder headlines student leadership conference
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University students have the opportunity to learn about leadership, community involvement and personal growth from nationally recognized experts at the fourth annual Designed to Lead conference Friday, Feb. 24, in the Bernhard Center.
Designed to Lead
Developed and led by WMU business students, the all-day conference includes presentations by high-profile speakers providing motivational, leadership and communication strategies to help students succeed in their academic and post-graduate careers.
"This year's Designed to Lead conference will be packed with great speakers and discussion designed to inspire students to find their passion," says Dr. Satish Deshpande, interim dean of the Haworth College of Business. "The event gives students the opportunity to learn more about the many facets of leadership and apply what they learn to their lives and careers."
The cost of admission for WMU students is $5. The conference, which is sponsored by the WMU Haworth College of Business, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes lunch.
